A Different Kind of Turkey

Just a quick link to an old .pdf I made about a better way to do Turkey for Thanksgiving. By removing the thighs and stuffing them, you can cook a turkey that will taste great and not be dry as hell. I did this project in St. Andrew's Cafe under Chef Garnero. Really, it wasn't my project but I was trying to help Ben not fail the class. He had to miss two classes (which would have been an instant fail) but he talked the Chef into letting him do a project to make up for some of that time. I offered to help knowing Ben would need computer and camera help.

Chef was so pissed I made his picture that big, but it was worth the laugh.

My Vote: Barack Obama

I'd love to write something very eloquent and intelligent about this moment in American History, but I feel like we don't even know the start of it. We've been incredibly burdened by the last eight years and there's only hope for better times ahead. Barack Obama offers that hope and he does it in a level-headed, clear way.

Is it going to be easy? No. Is it going to be cheap? No. But is it absolutely needed? Hell yes.

There's a better America on the horizon and he's the leader we need to get there. John McCain, someone I once respected, has run a very dishonorable campaign. Instead of offering a different idea or a challenge to Barack Obama's policies, the only thing we really hear from their campaign are slanderous lies.

If any of you still believe that Barack Obama is a terrorist, hates America, won't support the middle-class, or is a "socialist", then shame on you. Shame on you for being so willfully ignorant at such an important time. We face enormous challenges with very real, big problems. To think that the populace can't see through such transparent lies is a judgment of the American intellect.

I'm voting for Barack Obama because he offers voters great hope. I don't believe everything will be perfect and I don't believe we'll fix every major issue in four years. But a President with such obvious intellect and care leading this country, solving what can be solved, working for a better America is worthy of our election. That's why I'm voting for Barack Obama; not a divisive, same-as-before leader, who willfully lies for votes.

If he's good enough for Charles, he's good enough for me.
