Unofficially, the company has some seats behind home plate. We don't get at them very often, but I was lucky enough to get them for Monday nights game against the Angels. While I'm not an American League fan at all, it was still pretty cool to be so close to the field.
It's still hard to really pay attention and the game does fly by, but the ability to talk trash in a whisper to a player 4 feet in front of you is pretty awesome.
There's some definite perks to this job; going to Chicago in a month and hopefully going to a Cubs game. The most exciting is getting to eat at Alinea, one of the most interesting, out-of-the-box eating experiences that you'll ever find.
But there are downsides, like having to go to Florida on one days' notice...
jealous! pathetically enough, i grew up on the rangers and, although i never watch sports and they are pretty miserable, will secretly be a die-hard fan until i die.
