December 28, 2007 11:02 AM: she was Brave

"It is dangerous to stand up to a military dictatorship, but more dangerous not to." It's always very warming to see people stand up for what is right, no matter the consequence. Obviously, ether the Pakistani Government or the extremists weren't ready for Western'ized Democracy....

December 16, 2007 10:22 PM: Imagine, Having, To, Worry, About, Commas!

Another problem with trying to find meaning in the Second Amendment’s commas is that nobody is certain how many commas it is supposed to have. The version that ended up in the National Archives has three, but that may be a fluke. Legal historians note that some states ratified a two-comma version. At least one recent law journal article refers to a four-comma version. Table service? Love it. This week has been my first of three weeks of table service in Ristorante Caterina de Medici, a white tablecloth Italian restaurant. For seven class days before this table service class, we were in the kitchen producing the food, now we're serving it. I've only had very little experience in...

Mute Autistic Boy Stabbed in Eyes LAUDERHILL, Fla. (AP) -- A woman stabbed her 12-year-old autistic nephew in both eyes with a military-style dagger, likely leaving him permanently blind, police said. The woman then stabbed herself in one eye after attacking the boy on Friday, police said. Relatives, for unclear reasons, waited more than 10 hours before calling 911, police said. No charges have been filed and no names have been released. The woman gave no reason for the stabbing and the boy is mute, police said. ''The preliminary prognosis...
