
My time at ChefCo Foods as an extern officially ended on Friday. This cake was part of my going-away, week-long, bonanza.
Look carefully; the cake is funnier than it should be.
Anyway, man, I had a great time there. I'm very much looking forward to the possibility of returning there and getting back to work with the good people i met. I've been trying to explain to people how unworldly this experience has been and how lucky I was to get into it.
In terms of externships, this was the best available in the country. The work the company is doing and the people you're exposed to just simply aren't rivaled at all by any other company. The experience is even more unreal because I'm just some jackassy extern from Culinary School. You know, nothing special.
But they embraced me and I had such a great time and learned so much. It's nice to be really lucky...
