I went to church with my parents yesterday. Broadway is a Church of Christ, suffering from most of the maladies of, well, being a Church of Christ. I grew up there and I'm proud to say it's a pretty liberal church when compared to most of the Church of Christ persuasion. Recently, they hired on the interim pastor to be full time. This week, the following has happened: 1) A warrant was issued for my arrest. On the same day, I got two pieces of mail from the Municipal Court. The first, a letter from the City Marshall, letting me know that a warrant was issued because of a delinquent citation. The second being a packet of materials and confirmation that I was approved to take defensive driving. 2) My power was disconnected. I come home today and there's a note on my door saying my power was disconnected due to non-payment....

Ha! The Onion......

It's weird to count on something as being true in a time of nothing else seeming true, only to find out that what you doubted was real, and the one you counted on to be a total fake. I guess life's weird that way....

After a couple of really bad days, Lainie pulled through and got to come home today! She's still a little weak and sore, but is getting back to being herself. It was so weird for her to not be around for the last 4 days. I couldn't sleep well because she wasn't here with me, and it was just so lonely to get here and her not come running. But she's going to be good, and I'm very, very happy she's back!...

My valentine is in the hospital (for dogs)....

There's a "trendy" t-shirt company that I saw advertised on Facebook today. I poked around for a minute just to see if they had anything original and for a cheap laugh. This particular shirt caught my eye: The details say "For that pick me up in the mirror you so desperately need before that big meeting, first date, or last for that matter." I think one of the hardest parts of life is becoming comfortable with yourself. So much is taught about success and relationships, that it's easy to forget who you are. For some, that's an easy question to answer. Some are gifted with the knowledge of the passion they wish to pursue. They're born with a knack for science, a passion for people, and ultimately pursue a career in medicine. It seems like this is the type of person who easily finds their mate, easily has kids, and has what seems...
