April 29, 2003 06:18 PM: big words from poli sciIt pains me to read peoples' opinions.Sometimes I just can't handle what other people have to say. Lately, I've read a lot of anti-bush junk on the web and it's amazing how many of these people "try" to sound smarter than they really are. They use big words they learned in political science and try to say that everything's not black and white and that bush supporters are narrow-minded. It's been on my mind a lot lately ever since Congressman Larry Combest spoke to our Sunday school class this weekend....
April 28, 2003 06:19 PM: trinity baptistWow.. It's really easy to make cool powerpoint slide backgrounds. Why didn't I know this when i was on the media team in charge of powerpoint? Anyways, tommorow night Sean Eppers will be leading worship at Trinity Baptist Church at 6:30pm. It's my first official act as his management, so we'll be going big time! If you're interested in coming by, it's at 34th and Boston....
April 25, 2003 06:17 PM: life orientedso much of this world is determined by how high on the food chain you've become; it's an insatiable appetite that many fall victim. I see it everyday at work; people are always trying to make themselves look better in front of the boss that it almost hurts everyone else because the real work isn't being done. we're too worried about hitting numbers and keeping them in-line with what corporate says they ought to be. instead, we ought to be instigating programs and taking care of our people. we ought...
April 20, 2003 06:16 PM: no shutting upTo hear his friends tell it, Matt Smith is an easygoing guy. A recently engaged business consultant from Charlotte, N.C., Mr. Smith, 31, is a casual fan of golf, Nascar and Wake Forest basketball. But there is one subject his friends are loath to bring up around him, for fear it will provoke one of his prolonged sermons on its myriad virtues: the television gadget TiVo. "I'd say he brings it up every time we're together," said Fran Radano, a college pal who has resisted Mr. Smith's efforts to convert...
April 15, 2003 06:15 PM: no oil for bloodI saw some of these people protesting while I was overseas. There big slogan was "no oil for blood". I really wonder if they will still be complaining and protesting when gas only costs like 80 cents a gallon?...
April 14, 2003 06:13 PM: head-onI'm a perfectionist.Well, not really, but it's easy to think that way when you look at the things I do. I don't mess around. People at work, well, they mess around. When there's a problem or something that ought to be better, I don't mess around. People at work, well, they mess around. See how this could get me in trouble?I live a perfect life in my head. I think everything ought to be the way I see it, because... well, it just ought to. I get so frustrated at...
April 12, 2003 06:12 PM: a pleasing non-rutIt's just been one of those weeks that will define the rest of the year. It's nice to have these because it means that maybe i'm not as stagnant as i once believed. I've gotten in trouble at work. I did something that most would see as wrong, but to be honest, I don't regret it. I did something that I had to do to fight for the good of my people and the company. However, not everyone sees it this way, so tommorow, i'll be punished in some way....
April 9, 2003 02:46 PM: falling baghdadBaghdad has fallen and the Iraqi's are free from Saddam's tyranny. For those who are still against the war, I'll remind you of what i heard an Afghan say on the news shortly after we went into Afghanistan. The man said "what happened to you was horrible, but it caused one of the greatest days of my life". True for the Iraqi's too....
April 8, 2003 06:11 PM: europe galleriesby the way, the europe galleries are complete and ready for your exploitation....
April 7, 2003 01:40 PM: moving the soulrecently, I've had to answer a lot of questions about what kind of music I listen to, and why I listen to it. most of the time, I don't really have a solid answer. I listen to music almost all day, every day. when I go out-of-town or am away from it, I can't wait to get back to music. I love hearing other peoples' take on life through music and I love learning about myself through songs that say things that I have yet been able to say. james...
