January 31, 2003 09:13 PM: saturn spread

Sure enough, it was the part my dad thought it was. To fix it, they only wanted a thousand dollars. My dad does tend to quote auto repair estimates in terms of what he would charge for the same work, but this was ridiculous. Thatís the thing about Saturn. They advertise themselves as a different kind of car company. A different kind of car. But in the service shop, itís just the same old spread your cheeks.îVelcrometer is very funny....

January 30, 2003 09:14 PM: jason mraz

That guy racing down I-5 in his beat-up, unregistered Mazda just might be America's next singing sensation. You might not know it from his dirty car. Or his beat-up baseball cap, worn backward. But he's got a CD coming out on Elektra Records – his debut – and it was produced by John Alagia, the same guy who worked on John Mayer's album. He's been on tour with Jewel, and shmoozed with Dave Matthews. He even has TiVo.So he may not look like it, but Jason Mraz is San Diego's next big...

January 28, 2003 09:15 PM: "land assholes"

I learned that not only are Hippos the third largest land mammal, they're also the third largest land asshole, and that they'd just as soon gorge on small plastic balls in the Hippodome as they would tip over your boat and bite you to death. So, yeah, I kinda feel I was lied to about the whole cute Hippo thing.(from fush!)...

January 27, 2003 09:16 PM: i miss harmon

I met Harmon's girlfriend and girlfriend's little sister the other night at work. Through some weird connections, we ended up talking in separate conversations about Harmon. I guess I had kind of forgotten a little about how cool Harmon was. Our photo lab had done some reprints for Harmon's girlfriend of some pictures of them together. Our sometimes moronic lab people decided to scan them in backwards so that they are directly mirrored. We're good at this, so it wasn't all that shocking. Harmon's girlfriends' little sister brought them back....

January 23, 2003 09:16 PM: harmon died

I'm going to pause and talk a little bit about Harmon Staus.I met Harmon at First Baptist the first time I ever went there. He was one of the teachers of my Bible College class; although he only spoke once. When you have Ryan Dagliesh (the greatest teacher ever), you're ok only speaking once. Harmon was the definition of the big teddy-bear guys that everyone loves. He was always laughing and happy and really positive. The second time i went to First Baptist, Harmon came up and talked to me...

CONCLUSION (whole text)Based on the text and structure of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, as confirmed by the purpose and history of the Act, the Court concludes that the subpoena authority of section 512(h) applies to all service providers within the coverage of the Act, including Verizon and other service providers falling within subsection (a). January 6, 2003 09:20 PM: keeping to myself

I know I've been particularly bland over the past weeks. My computer has been in shambles and it's been so frustrating that I don't care enough to want to do anything. Most of you know that I got promoted at work into management which has taken a lot of time, and just random other things have been going on. I ought to be telling more and not keeping so much to myself, but sometimes it's hard to share. I start to write something, get half-way through and then convince myself...
