I missed ED again last night due to being at work. I had forgotten to set the VCR so I was pretty much out of luck. I started thinking about how much I love ED and how mad I was that I didn't record it that I got all spontaneous and went out and picked up a new Tivo Series 2 DVR. It's excellent and it was on sale. I bought it at Best Buy though, so I'm a little mad at myself. Some of you may know that I swore off shopping at Best Buy because they have horrible customer service, but in my Tivo delirium I forgot and bought one there. It didn't hurt that the girl at the register was very attractive... =)
Anyways, this Tivo is the most amazing thing I own. I spent 4-5 hours telling it what shows I really like and who my favorite actors are. When I'm not around, Tivo will still be working on getting things that it thinks I may like. It's very empowering to be able to tell a machine to record your favorite shows and for said machine to actually do it! I'm delirious with joy right now because I'm about to watch one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time, CHiPs. It only comes on at 5am now, so I never get to see. In steps Tivo to save the day! How many of y'all can say that you will see and save every Simpsons episode this week and for the rest of the year? How many of y'all saw Conan and the hilarious Irish dude last night? Ok, how many of y'all saw said Conan episode this afternoon because it was recorded on a Tivo! ok.. Season Passes are beautiful!
