A 21-year-old Texas Tech student was gunned down early this morning at a Southwest Lubbock ATM. Police responding to a shots fired call shortly before 6 a.m. found Colin Matthew Schafer who had been shot twice in the torso, police spokesman Bill Morgan said. Schafer was sitting in a Jeep Cherokee parked at the Bank of America ATM at the southeast corner of 50th Street and Slide Road, Morgan said. He was rushed to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m., Morgan said.
