I never really mentioned much about my trip to Albuquerque for the Jeep World Outside Festival featuring Sheryl Crow, O.A.R., Tonic, Ziggy Marley, Train, and most importantly Howie Day. There were some other bands there too, but they weren't anyone i feel like was worth remembering. I left Lubbock about 5 hours before the festival started. I meant to get up earlier than that, but it's real easy to convince yourself to sleep another hour when you know you're about to hop into the car and drive 5 hours. The festival was really cool; they had a ski jump, scuba tanks, mountain biking, rock climbing, and a pool for learning how to kayak. They had professionals staffing all of the areas to help people learn the proper techniques and safety. I walked over to the fence to see behind the pavilion because i was trying to guess how many 18-wheelers they needed to transport all that enjoyment and was a tad surprised. 14. Howie Day put on probably the best live music experience i've ever seen. First of all, I love his music. He could have just walked out on stage and said Hi, and i would have screamed success! However, he really did impress me. Ziggy Marley was good, but the night belonged to Howie Day and O.A.R.; with the latter putting on an incredible show. Overall, i really had a great time in Albuquerque. I did leave before Train, Tonic, and Sheryl Crow took the stage because it was 10:30 and i needed to head out to get home for sunrise. I've got tickets to the Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, and Vanessa Carlton on Sep. 8th and I'm already excited!!
They wouldn't allow camera's inside the concert, so i didn't get any pictures. I was not willing to risk
losing my new camera!
