Dear God, You are mean.
The day finally arrived. It took me a year of talking about it and convincing myself that I should get one. I bought a Tivo. If you've been around me the past 12 months, you'll know that I'm obsessed with this little piece from electronic heaven. For those of you who don't know what a Tivo is, it's basically a tape-less VCR, but 100 times smarter. "With Tivo you can pause live-tv"... I'm sure you've all heard the pitch, and they aren't kidding. You can press pause and Tivo begins recording, and when you're ready to start back up, just hit play and watch the taped version of whatever you were watching. You can tell Tivo your favorite shows and it will tape them for you. It downloads show information every night so if they have a special airing of your favorite show, Tivo knows, and takes care of it. Tom Cavanagh (ED!) is one of my favorite actors. I can tell Tivo that he is, and Tivo will record other things he's in. Tivo loves me. Well, Tivo would love me, if it worked.
I found this baby on clearance at Wal-Mart. Should have known it was broken right? Well, the Tivo works, it just refuses to connect up with Tivo headquarters to download show information. It has to download said information before it'll even let you do anything. So I still don't have a Tivo.
