I know it's not about his musical talent, but there is something about Shane Barnard that just leads you straight to God everytime you hear him play. Tonight was an amazing time with God through Shane's music. I had to go alone, but i ended up being with two people that i never would have thought God would have linked me up with. It was great and God definitely opened up some doors. I've never really heard Shane and Shane play with a full band before, because usually if they aren't playing straight acoustic, it's with a rag-tag group of people and not that great. Tonight however, was incredible. I had never really been big on Shane playing with a band because his acoustic talent is so amazing, but tonight just blew me away! They played some new stuff, the new version of Breath of God, The Answer, Sweet Illuminations, but it was a song from Isaiah that won the night! It's from Isaiah 61:3 and says "to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor". Simply amazing. If you went, you know what i'm talking about when I say that Shane is truly anointed!
