there is something fundamentally flawed about gift certificates with expiration dates. it defies logic. i would undestand better if it wasn't an equal exchange rate, but the fact that i have to pay $5 dollars for a gift card of the same value really irks me. When I have five dollars in my pocket, I'm not worried that i need to spend it by 10pm or it'll expire... it's money, it's value is not determined by time. However, my blockbuster gift card from 1999 is somehow no longer good. I say to you, blockbuster, that i will never do business with your greedy business again.
